Greece

January 8, 2007

If I was a foreign exchange student I would go to Greece for many reasons. I would like to go because I am part Greek and because they have beautiful building. I would also think that it would be cool to learn how they talk. I really don’t want to go anywhere because i would miss ♥Jason♥ so I would rather someone from Greece come to my house and stay with me. I am also scared to fly in a plane so i woulnt want to travel.

Oprah opens a school for girls in Africa

January 5, 2007

On Tuesday Oprah Winfrey opened a school for disadvantaged girls in South Africa. I think that Oprah is such an inspiration to girls everywhere and that more people should be like her because she is always helping people.SingersTina Turner, Mary J. Bilge and MariahCarey, actors Sidney Poitier and Chris Tucker, and director Spike Leealso attended the school on its opening day. The girls are verry apreciative of her. The have already started their learning process. She is Known all over the World and not just because she is famous. It’s because she cares about people and makes a difference in the world.

Cell Phones

December 15, 2006

I think that our rules at school about cell phones are just as they should be, because if there wern’t rules then phones would be going off 24-7. The classes would always get distracted. Also they would be able to text in class and they could give each other answers.

Our rules are fine. ;)

Kids Helping Kids

December 5, 2006

Have you ever heard anyone say that one person can make a difference? I didn’t think that was true until I went on this site called Kids Helping Kids. The kids in this program are so generous with their time. If everyone would just do their part in our world it would be a better place. We wouldn’t have as much deseases. They do so much for the children who are less fortunate. Kaufman should get involved in that because it teaches us to be very grateful for what you have. Christmas is coming soon and there are kids out there who have no family or shelter and the people in our community can help them a lot. Thats why I like the program called Kids Helping Kids.

~My Christmas~

December 1, 2006

My favorite time of year is Christmas. I love this holiday because everyone is happy. I also love Christmas music, snow, the green, and the red. I like it all. Waking up in the morning and smelling different desserts everyday. At night my dog and me get under the heating blanket and get warm. I at night you can get hot chocolate and go watch Christmas movies. You get to go Christmas shopping. All the PRESENTS that you could ever wish for! That’s what I do every year and I wouldn’t change it.

Merry Christmas.(and a happy New Year)

Pro’s and Con’s of using the internet in my classroom

December 1, 2006

There are a lot of pro’s and cons of using the Internet in the classroom. Here are some of them.

Pros:You can research and find stuff for your projects. you can typing for your job in the future. If we didn’t have Internet in our classrooms, we would not know what a blog is.

Con’s:People could track us down from the information that we post about ourselves. Some kids could look up inappropriate stuff.

My Thanksgiving

November 28, 2006

My Thanksgiving was so boring. The day we got out of school I went and spent the night with my cousin, Travis, and we didnt really do anything fun. Then on Thanksgiving I ate.For all the people I sit with at lunch, yes I ate. On Saturday Amber came over and we had lots of laughs (as always) So it was kinda fun.
